Cosplay Contest & Catwalk

The stage is all yours

In addition to many fun esports and gaming activities, there will also be a cosplay area with workshops, meet-ups, photo opportunities and more! As icing on the cake, we will organize a Cosplay Contest and Cosplay Catwalk on the stage in the main theater hall. Since the whole event is dedicated to video games, both the Cosplay Contest and Cosplay Catwalk are also exclusively for cosplays of characters from video games.

There are two types of competitions you can sign up for:
– Cosplay Contest
– Cosplay Catwalk

Full = full. First come, first served. It is possible that this entry form is still open, while we have already reached the maximum number of participants. Your participation is only final when you receive a written confirmation. Always keep an eye on your spam box as well

Rules for the Cosplay Contest:

  • 50% of the cosplay must be self-made. You must be able to show which parts are self-made. The judges will evaluate both your outfit and performance and there will be a pre-judging on the day of the event. Both aspects are equally important.
  • During the contest you will have a maximum of 1 minute to perform your act. You are free how you fill in this minute. You may do poses, you may dance, you may act, whatever suits you!
  • You may use the entire stage; the stage is about 18 meters wide and 15 meters deep.
  • Your cosplay outfit is based on a character from a game.
  • You may participate solo or as a duo.
  • All participants must be at least 16 years old.
  • All cosplay outfits must be based on a character from a video game. Self-devised characters, own designs based on the reference material and self-designed designs are not allowed.
  • Cosplay outfits may not be obscene, offensive, incite hatred or provoke. Also, cosplay outfits must adequately cover the body, since children will also be present at the event. This rule applies to all visitors to mConvention.
  • Outfits must follow the official design recognized by the I.P. (Intellectual Property) holder.
  • A host may ask you a few questions on stage.
  • Any materials that can damage the stage or are dangerous, such as open flames or fireworks, are not permitted
  • Prices are per entry. So if you participate as a duo, you share the prizes together.
  • Entrance to the event is free for everyone. Get your event ticket through this website.
  • Please mail the photos of your self-made parts of your outfit + an audio file (mp3) of maximum 1 minute (it may be shorter) to amanda@mconesports.com. The audio file may not be any other file type and must be delivered ready to play.
  • If you don’t have or don’t wish to use your own audio file during your performance, we will take care of music.

  • During the catwalk, you walk up and down the stage to show off your cosplay.
  • All participants must be at least 16 years old.
  • All cosplay outfits must be based on a character from a video game. Self-devised characters, own designs based on the reference material and self-designed designs are not allowed.
